There are some projects that remind me exactly why I love what I do, and our “The Mom Game Live” event, in partnership with Susan G. Komen, was one of those unforgettable moments.

The evening took place at Truck Yard Fort Worth, where we hosted a live podcast recording of The Mom Game in front of an incredible audience. The show featured NFL Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion DeMarcus Ware, and his wife Angela Ware, as special guests, along with Fort Worth City Councilman Charlie Lauersdorf and his wife Amanda, who is currently fighting breast cancer with such strength and grace.

From the very beginning, I knew this event would be meaningful. Months of planning went into every detail, from securing the venue and curating activations to managing press, influencers, and, of course, the guest experience. Our team at AD Media had the privilege of bringing The Mom Game’s vision for this event to life, ensuring every detail felt intentional and meaningful. Watching everyone come together in support of such an important cause was incredibly fulfilling and an experience I will cherish.

Honoring and Remembering

One of the most touching parts of the evening was the pink ribbon table. Guests were invited to write their name, or the name of someone they love who has faced or is currently facing breast cancer, and place their ribbon on the window. As the night went on, the window began to fill with ribbons, creating a wall of love and strength that set the tone for the entire event.

There was also an option to scan the QR code to donate directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, giving guests another way to show their support. Many took a quiet moment to pause and reflect, while others shared stories or wrote names together. By the end of the night, the window was covered in pink ribbons, each one representing courage, remembrance, and hope. It was a simple yet powerful reminder that the effects of breast cancer reach far beyond the patients, too.

After visiting the ribbon table, guests made their way to our custom popcorn bar. This spot quickly became one of the most loved parts of the evening, because who doesn’t love to pick their perfect topping? Cinemark kindly donated the popcorn, and our team set up an epic display of the buckets with The Mom Game and Susan G. Komen logos proudly showcased. This space offered a more playful moment, giving guests a chance to share a lighthearted moment and enjoy a treat.

Each bucket was available for a $10 donation, with every dollar going directly to Susan G. Komen. We added an extra touch of fun by including different flavorings for guests to sprinkle on their popcorn, which made it a playful and personal experience. It was such a simple idea that carried a lot of meaning. Seeing everyone gathered around, chatting, laughing, and giving back reminded me why the small details always matter most.

After enjoying their popcorn and settling in, guests made their way to another standout part of the evening, the Southern Junkiez hat bar. The setup immediately caught everyone’s attention with a table full of colorful patches, rhinestones, and lettering ready to be turned into our guests’ personal rally caps. You could feel the excitement as guests began creating their custom trucker hats, each one full of color and personality.

The table stayed busy all night as friends compared designs, shared ideas, and helped one another make final choices. The sound of conversation and laughter filled the space, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It became more than just a creative station, it turned into a place where people connected and celebrated the moment together.

The hat bar was one of those thoughtful touches that brought so much character to the evening. Watching guests of all ages enjoy the process and leave with a personalized keepsake was so special. It perfectly reflected the heart of The Mom Game community, where creativity, connection, and genuine joy come together naturally.

The Thoughtful Touches: Swag Bags and Surprises

Guests not only left with the custom hats they created but also with beautifully curated swag bags filled with thoughtful gifts to remember the evening. Each bag was designed with the same attention to detail and appreciation that shaped every part of the event, filled with a blend of beauty, wellness, and lifestyle favorites that reflected the heart and purpose behind the night.

Each bag featured items from some incredible brand partners who generously contributed to making this experience so memorable. Olive & June provided their signature press-on nails in the prettiest pink shade, the perfect nod to breast cancer awareness month. The Candier added playful yet meaningful touches with heart-shaped lip balms and moisturizing hand sanitizers that looked as good as they smelled. Primally Pure shared some of their most loved clean-beauty essentials, including the Everything Spray and Vanilla + Citrus Deodorant. Frownies offered their best-selling facial patches for a little extra self-care, while Parker J added a beautiful bracelet that made each bag feel personal and heartfelt.

These items came together beautifully, creating gifts that felt intentional and elevated. Watching guests open their bags, compare products, and share their excitement with one another was such a special moment. It was the perfect way to end an evening centered on connection, care, and community.

The cherry on top of a perfect night, for me, was having my daughter there to experience it all. She has seen me work on so many events from the planning side, but being able to bring her to one in person felt completely different. Watching her see everything come together, from the setup and the guests arriving to the energy in the space, was such a proud moment. It was so meaningful to show her what it looks like to bring an idea to life, to work hard, and to create something that brings people together for a greater purpose. Seeing her excitement and curiosity was another reminder of why I love what I do.

Getting to work alongside my friend who owns Southern Junkiez made the evening even more meaningful. Seeing her hat bar come to life and watching guests gather around her table, laughing and designing their hats, was incredibly special to me. Collaborating with people I admire and watching their creativity shine is one of the best parts of what I do. It was the perfect reflection of what this event was truly about, connection, creativity, and community.

I also had the joy of spending part of the evening with a close friend who has supported me through many chapters of my career. Sharing this event with her felt incredibly special. She has always been someone who believes in me and encourages me to chase what I am passionate about. Having her there to celebrate this night and see the heart behind it all was such a full-circle moment that I will always treasure.

As the evening came to a close and guests started to leave, I took one last look around and felt overwhelming gratitude. The Mom Game x Susan G. Komen Live Event was so much more than a podcast recording. It was a night filled with purpose, heart, and community.
