The office setup and decor can really impact your work mindset and mood. The right decor can create a calming and welcoming environment to reduce stress and boost creativity! Lighting is also crucial—natural light can uplift your mood, and lamp lighting is also a must. Overall, a well-thought-out office space can make a big difference in how you feel at work, affecting both you and your teams performance, mood, and overall well-being.

As a business owner, the responsibilities are endless. There’s no such thing as clocking out, which means I am always on the go. Sometimes, my workday starts at 5 AM and doesn’t end until 11 PM the next day, more often than not. I am okay with that and I have the tools to ensure my processes are streamlined.

Books hold a special place in my heart; they are my escape, my teachers, and moments to lean in, giggle, and dream. As someone who aspires to write a few books myself, with plans to embark on this journey very soon, I’m particularly drawn to the magic of storytelling. One genre I’m passionate about exploring is a type of biography that blurs the lines between reality and imagination, leaving readers questioning what is real and what isn’t. Additionally, as a die-hard romantic being born under the sign of Virgo, the idea of crafting my own romantic fiction fills me with warmth and excitement. Relaxation and Wind Down

As a CEO/founder, wife, and mother, life can often feel like a juggling act. Balancing responsibilities such as running a business and nurturing a family could often leave little time for oneself. However, it is important to take time out of the day to relax, wind down, and focus on self-care. Some products that I have used to to create the perfect relaxed environment are candles, eye masks, facial masks, etc. I have noticed that prioritizing self-care is a critical component of achieving success! Nevertheless, self-care does not always have to be in the form of beautification but can also encompass forms of rejuvenation and overall well-being. One of my favorite items I have implemented in my self-care routine is my neck rest!

Travel Necessities

Traveling can be an exhilarating experience full of fun and excitement, but it can quickly take a turn if you find yourself without the essential items or products you need! As I previously mentioned, self-care is an important component of success, and I believe a good vacation is included! Therefore, when I travel I like to make sure that I have products that can make my trip easier so I can make the most of my traveling experience.

I firmly believe that my appearance directly influences my confidence level, affecting my ability to seal deals, be fully present, and remain less apprehensive in various situations. While I appreciate the boost in confidence this brings, I also acknowledge that it shouldn’t be a prerequisite. Ideally, I’d love to embrace a more natural look, with hair casually styled in a bun, flaunting my freckles without a layer of makeup. However, I recognize the importance of versatility in wardrobe choices, opting for pieces that effortlessly transition from the professional realm to personal life, while still maintaining a polished edge for special events.

Fashion, to me, is more than just fabric and stitching; it’s a powerful form of expression that leaves a lasting impact. By carefully selecting attire that resonates with my personal style and values, I strive to convey confidence, authenticity, and professionalism in every setting.

For a formal work event, it is important to dress in a way that is professional, polished, and comfortable. There are many days when I leave the office for a more formal event and need to elevate my outfit. For instance, at last year’s LTK Conference, I wore this ruffle floral dress with bow toe heels. Attending LTKCon is always an honor and an incredible opportunity to connect with the inspiring women in this industry. This black bow ensemble was my choice for the lovely Tiffany C. Blackmon’s 60th birthday, and I was absolutely obsessed. It is a must-see dress in person.

As a business owner, I’ve learned that looking and feeling my best is key to tackling each day with confidence. When it comes to getting ready for the office, I rely on a few beauty favorites that help me feel polished and camera-ready, no matter how busy my schedule gets. Having a stash of personal care products at the office is a game-changer for those long days (or nights!) when work never seems to end. Whether it’s a quick refresh with some dry shampoo, face wipes, or even a tiny bottle of lotion to combat that office air, keeping a few essentials on hand can make a world of difference.
