Whew! What an incredible year 2023 has been and it’s not over just yet! But, I was taking some much-needed downtime to reflect on what a blessing this past year has been and all the wonderful people, friends, and opportunities it has brought. It can be so easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle and not take the time to reflect on all the highs of the year and prepare for an exciting 2024 to come. I wanted to share with you what the different eras of this year have brought and what I’m grateful for from that season.

Q1: Word for 2023 | Strong

As some of you may know, I always choose a word to frame my year around. This word helps model my intentions for the year and frame my goals to align. This year was Strong. I was Strong in my business, Strong in my Team Development, Strong in my intention and direction, and Strong in showing up for my loved ones. This has been my guiding light throughout the year and I’m so grateful for the lessons I learned along the way for my Strong year. I often share my word with those close to me as they also help keep me accountable and solidify the action plan to accomplish my goals for the year. With lots of hard work, grit, and elbow grease, I’m honored to say mountains were moved in 2023 to lead to an even more prosperous 2024. I can’t wait to share those projects with you soon!

With the framework of Strong, I knew I wanted to give my business, AD Media Group, the website facelift that it deserved. Your website is often your first introduction to a potential client, brand, or friend, and I knew I wanted to give a fresh take to others. Your website should be easy to navigate and packed full of resources for your audience. I wanted to update the layout of the website, update branding imagery, and increase the easy navigation of the website. We have even included a page where you can directly complete a form to see if your criteria aligns with any Influencer or Brand that we are working on that are looking for more opportunity. As with most things, these projects can be much bigger than you originally anticipated, but I’m so grateful for the time myself and my team spent because it is so exciting to have a website that authentically reflects you and your business. An extra special thank you to the fabulous team at Trek Your Market who we partnered with to give our website a revamp. Through this revamp, it has led to so many more friendships and opportunities for myself and my business.

Q3: Gibsonlook Brand Trip | Affirming My Love for their Brand

Cheers to a wonderful trip in Utah with Suzie, owner of Gibsonlook, Holly of Everyday Holly, Ryanne of the Recruiter Mom, and Candace of Just Posted Blog.

With Q3 came lots and lots of working closely with the fabulous Suzie, owner of Gibsonlook, and the Gibsonlook team. I’ve been privileged enough to work with them for years by representing our influencer clients through collaborations and content creation, but we had the opportunity to deepen our relationship. Myself and some fabulous clients visited the GL team at their HQ in Utah to create content, plan exciting projects, and take time to enjoy each other without too much hustle and bustle of work. This trip was so special to me for so many reasons. Of course, I loved spending time with Suzie, Holly of Everyday Holly, Ryanne of the Recruiter Mom, and Candace of Just Posted Blog, but I loved getting to deepen my love of the Gibsonlook brand. Seeing the grace, kindness, and warmth from the GL team was incredibly refreshing. I so wish I could bottle the feel-good emotions of this trip and share them with everyone. The Gibsonlook team brings so much light, love, and encouragement that I think everyone needs in their life. I look forward to continuing to work closely with them as their Chief Branding Officer and am excited to roll out some new initiatives in 2024 for Gibsonlook.

My Son Joining the United States Air Force

As I often do not share my personal family life, I felt moved to share this with you. My true “why”! The reason I wake up and work as hard as I do is for my family. Giving them experiences I never had and seeing them grow up into the most humble, hardworking human beings is my “why”. The choice for my son to join the United States Air Force was truly the hardest, but biggest blessing. Coming from a family of veterans, I was truly honored and humbled to learn my son felt a calling to join. I also, transparently, was terrified. I knew this transition from civilian life to military life would have its own challenges, but I didn’t realize how much his life was changing until we had our first phone calls from BASIC training. Nothing will ever prepare you to go that long without contact with your baby. As much as my mom heart hurts for him, I am so incredibly proud of this young man and his pursuit to serve his country. This transition has made me grateful for every moment I have with my loved ones, no matter how small or how minuscule. I won’t miss a chance to take my daughter to softball practice, join my COO at our favorite lunch spot, or catch up on the phone with that one friend you always play phone tag with. Our time is limited and seeing my babies get older and my business grow, makes me realize all the blessings we need to take time to be grateful for now.
