When you surround yourself in business with people who believe in you there are no limits to what you can do. When you believe in the people you are surrounded by there are no limits to what you won’t do to support them in the best form possible. It’s the art of collaboration, mutual respect, and doing business within an industry where your passion exudes. It sounds so cliche, but it’s truly what makes the grind worth it.

Last week I had the opportunity to spend a few days with the owner Suzie Turner of Gibsonlook along with members of her team, her family, and some amazing Content Creators that we represent at AD Media Group in the beautiful mountains of the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. We captured the Fall Collection of Gibsonlook as we learned in more detail how Gibsoonlook was founded, what it grew into, and where it’s going. I think when you hear the journey of an owner and Entrepreneur like Suzie and her team you cherish the brand you’ve loved for so long even more. I even had the opportunity to learn more about our own clients, how we can assist more, their outlooks on their industry demands, and how each creator’s audience differed on each platform. The setting of the retreat was perfectly serene and to top it all off, as if that wasn’t already so magical, it landed on my 40th birthday! Talk about heading into my 40s strong!

Our first day started off so magical! Ryanne of The Recruiter Mom landed in Utah close to the same time and we were quickly accompanied by Candace of the Just Posted blog. We were greeted by an amazing driver who gave us all the best insights on the history of JFK, fun Trivia, and some of the best chocolate made in Utah as we drove to the Sundance Resort. Once we arrived at the lovely home we would be staying at we were greeted by Holly of Everyday Holly Blog along with the amazing Gibsonlook content team! Our energy was high and I think our smiles were from ear to ear! We all knew we were in for something special!

A funny fact, I am afraid of heights and I am so nervous about flying! It’s true these ladies have bragging rights; as I rode ski lifts and hopped on a plane for them, I usually choose not to do so without my husband as he helps me keep my cool, or just can handle my freakouts. But no worries, I pushed through my fears to spend this special time with them! As I was riding up the ski lift with Suzie on the way to dinner I smiled really calmly and finally spoke my truth of my fear to her. Suzie being the kind person she is made me feel so comfortable as we made our way to the top. After all, I couldn’t let my fears get in the way of this once-in-a-lifetime retreat… P.S. To this moment I thank God that it was dark coming down the mountain. I could imagine myself like a cat coming out of the water clinging to Suzie for dear life if I was truly able to see how high up we were!

It was such a wonderful time getting to know them. Although we have worked together for many years overall, it’s great getting the time to talk about more aspects of business and life in general. Connection is so important, our space is still somewhat new as creators of an in-demand marketing industry so to be understood, sharing perspective from experience and insight is a breath of fresh air with a dash of motivation!

The entire trip was so detailed with such a special thanks to the Gibsonlook team and the darling Sienna, whose heart is as pure as gold. Each person we met and worked with was so kind and thoughtful, when they brought out my cake I couldn’t help but choke up. The entire trip I was so emotional with the gratitude that overflowed with each sweet gesture. We ended the evening with a slice of cake over great conversation! Ryanne was so kind to gift me some amazing jewelry from Gorjana and Holly gave me a pair of earrings, her most loved design by Kendra Scott. The Gibsonlook team delivered a lovely video of friends and clients that had me in tears. I love everyone so much and the thoughtfulness meant so much, in a business where you often have to show strength, it was great to accept all the love!

We ate at the lovely Grappa in Park City, Utah on our final night! The service and view were amazing! Tell me, are you like me when you love a place you are visiting you begin to look for homes so you can either move or have a vacation home? I mean it could be dreaming but let’s put it out there, you never know… In fact, my husband himself was waiting for me to text him that I found another new state I needed to move to, lol!

As the saying goes if you work hard you play hard. The work ethic of these talented Content creators along with the amazing Gibsonlook team made this trip so wonderful and had such a graceful flow as it was perfectly planned. These ladies and fabulous content creators built their business understanding the needs of their audience and shoppers, it was wonderful watching them share the details of how their items align with their needs for all occasions! I can’t wait to see all the fun videos they created, which I am sure will go viral 😉

Working in the industry for so many years having a well-prepared team, that’s experienced, and kind makes a world of difference. Gibsonlook pulled no stops when it came to the thoughtfulness and flow of the retreat! The best mixture of work-play experience!

I loved learning from each person! I have worked with Holly of Everyday Holly Blog for over a year and this was the first time I was able to meet her in person. I knew she was wonderful but this extra time to connect will be something I will always be grateful for!

While preparing to head to the amazing Bearclaw Supper Club we captured imagery and filmed for Gibsonlook. The energy we all felt is one I will always remember! Ryanne and I have worked together for so long, Ryanne’s strength and passion for the industry to help others is who she is. She loves this industry sharing any knowledge and is always willing to help others succeed around her! Candace is the absolute sweetest lady you will ever meet, her kindness and elegance for others is so lovely to witness. This trip wasn’t a promise of what the road ahead would look like but a nod that at that moment we were all doing what we loved and stood out in our own ways on how we approached our business. To me, that’s what makes this industry the success it is, being able to approach the same situation in fashion, food, and lifestyle in many different ways.

We had the best food and the best time, and to humbly brag, someone even told us we were the best dressed. I am going to have to wholeheartedly agree with them on that!

This photo is a big deal for me, you can’t see it but a few more steps, and I would have been one with the valleys of the mountain. Although scared of heights I took in the fresh air and enjoyed the outstanding details of the Bearclaw Supper Club. What is the Bearclaw Supper Club and why was it so special? They only host this dinner three times a year! You enjoy the most delicious meal on top of the Sundance Mountain Resort with live music and the most incredible view. You take a ski lift to the top where we could see the most precious deer and stunning scenery! It was God’s work on full display. It was that very moment Utah officially stole my heart!

Of course, Gibsonlook had me taken care of with every outfit I needed for the trip! That’s what I love about the brand for so many years, it has me covered in all aspects of life, or just those multitude of outfits I wear in a day 😉 .

My travel look is one you will find me on repeat! After a fun few days I felt inspired to get back to Texas and implement what I had learned from such an amazing trip. I hopped a plane back to Dallas to celebrate my 40th with my husband, to cheer on our beloved Texas Rangers!

Cheers to a wonderful trip with wonderful people who continue to inspire me to do what I love and provided affirmation I am right where I need to be! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for all of these amazing and talented women! A trip that I will always remember!
