As the Social Media world continues to grow it can feel overwhelming. “What platform do I use for what?” There are so many different platforms out there, but today I am here to share with you how to use each of them for the most success for your business!
Many small business owners can only manage so much so with many years of experience I put together a team called AD Media Group. My company helps our clients stay consistent on Social Media platforms to get the most out monetization dollars possible out of content that they share.
Instagram has come a long way since it’s launch back in 2010. We have seen Instagram develop into a seemingly shopping focused platform. Did you know that 4 out of 5 brands use Instagram for influencer marketing and when asked 79% of brands consider Instagram the most important platform. To see success on Instagram it is imperative that you have established and identified your niche audience, be authentic, and post consistently.
Recently, we have been seeing a new posting strategy on Instagram involving Reels. Reels have been deemed (even by Instagram themselves) as a way for you and your brand to reach new audiences. This is very important to keep your brand relevant and gain increased engagements. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean you have to dance, snap, or twerk. But rather, use Reels to your advantage and incorporate them in your already established brand identity.
Facebook continues to be one of the top leading Social Platforms, especially when it comes to influencing. Facebook is known as being a platform where people can connect and form authentic interpretations and opinions about anything from a new product you are wanting to try to the latest celebrity gossip. To get the most success using Facebook the foundation is the same… establish and identify your niche audience, be authentic, and post consistently. Where we do see Facebook differ is regarding Facebook Lives.
Facebook Live is still a relatively young format, but influencers in particular have seen success using the format. Facebook Live gives both brands and influencers alike an opportunity to create authentic content.
TikTok… where do I even begin. As I am sure you all have heard of this relatively young social platform that has seemed to take over the industry. If you have been around the industry for long enough I am sure you have at some point heard the word algorithm. An algorithm, according to Sproutsocial.com is “a way of sorting posts in a users’ feed based on relevancy instead of publish time.” TikTok is known for their specific algorithms on creating the perfect curated feed for YOU on what’s called their “For You Page”.
Since TikTok is relatively new and we are all still learning how we can be successful on the platform there is not yet an exact formula. But, I will say from my experience and what I have seen the key word here is “relevancy”. This falls back once again on you having established your niche audience so that you can curate content for that target audience. For example, let’s say you are a travel blogger… what type of TikTok will do best? Well, I would recommend videos such as “What’s in My Travel Bag”, “How I Save Money Booking Flights”, or “The Best Places To Travel to on a Budget”.
With Pinterest now accounting for 25% of all referral retail traffic it is definitely a platform you need to add to your marketing strategy of you haven’t already. Whenever you are curating content, whether that be a blog, story, post, or graphics you should always Pin it on Pinterest. By pinning content to Pinterest and ensuring that you have the appropriate alt text, this makes your content more accessible and is adding another platform where your perspective audience can find you!
As you may have noticed there was one commonality between all these platforms… Consistency. I know that posting all ALL of these platforms can seem a bit overwhelming but I have linked below some of the platforms and products that we use to help with our strategy of staying consistent on social media!
