2021 Branding & Photography Workshop

That’s A Wrap Friends

Friends, we are still reeling from the Branding & Photography Workshop Friday the January 29th at The Lumen Room in Plano, Texas! I can’t believe how quickly it has come and gone but I am so appreciative and proud of how Friday turned out. We had so much fun and it was truly incredible to see all of the amazing speakers in one room. From tips and insight of how to grow your brand online, to learning how to photograph and use your camera to create imagery, we went over it all. We even dove into our why and motivation as business owners. We had attendees from all different background and businesses that all are excited to learn and take action to engage their audience and provide better connections with their client. We had doctors, photographers, models, hair stylist, and Influencers to name a few. We had attendees with all different types of job descriptions which speaks loudly on how important it is to share your brand position no matter the industry. Growing your brand isn’t just for influencers and bloggers, its for ANYONE that needs to build their business and online presence! Our goal that was accomplished with the Photography and Branding workshop was met to decrease the anxiety of online and social media marketing and put the excitement in on how sharing your brand position will help connect and obtain your ideal client.

Starting Off The Workshop Right

To start I want to brag a little bit about Herb & Alchemy! As each attendee arrived they were greeted by this amazing cocktail bar and the smiling faces of Nicole and her husband, the sweetest people you will ever meet! They really set the tone and knocked it out of the park from the very beginning making the branding and photography workshop the coolest place to be. The drinks were not only beautifully created, they were delicious! We may or may not have visited it a couple of times, I mean do you blame me?! 😉 Talk about photo opportunity to this branding photographer I couldn’t get enough images and my favorite subject to photograph is cocktails my friends, so this was simply stated the BEST!!!

The Main Event

We had influencer and brand speakers as well as creatives give so much knowledge on brand position, scheduling content, important of imagery and how it impacts your business. Knowing your why to launching a brand and having a specific direction is key to standing out and the words the speakers spoke continuously made me holler out YESSSSSS. We also discussed steps to prepare for a photo shoot, adding pieces to your imagery that identify your specific brand position, going from a side hustle to a full time job, the importance of video content, finding your best light, and so much more!! We even dropped some bombs on the tools we use to help deliver those tasks to your clients. These speakers really brought such useful information, and it brought me so much joy!

Such an amazing group of professionals and people that I am happy to call friends. Picture; Weston, Rebekah, Leslie, Shatory, Shauntelle, Audrie Dollins, Cassie, Mallory, Taryn, Rick, Michelle Rice. Not Pictured Tanya.

To have these people in one room was truly such a blessing, and it was amazing to hear all of the information and knowledge they have about building a business and brand! I am so thankful for their willingness to share what they know and give other people inspiration to grow a business!

Cassie from Hi SugarPlum spoke about scheduling your content and staying consistent when it comes to your business by staying true to your why. Cassie even added the importance of taking a step back to re-energize so that when you are present you are there 100%

Rebekah from A Blissful Nest discussed how to add pieces of you in your imagery even if you aren’t in the image. Adding a specific color that gives your signature brand recognition. Rebekah is a fabulous interior designer & Influencer that finds beautiful but affordable pieces when she is decorating and taking this step while creating content will decrease the anxiety when you create with intention. Your content should educate your audience and make them want to take action.

Tanya Foster discussed the key steps to preparing for a photoshoot and the important of planning ahead. For every hour you photograph takes two hours of prep. So that you can be completely ready to capture all that you want within in one hour. Tanya also touched on how vital it is to having a website that you own in this Instagram heavy world! Social Media comes and goes but you always have control on the consistency of your website/blog.

Mallory with Style Your Senses kicked off the workshop giving major insight on the transition from being a full time Influencer to her amazing online boutique Shop Style Your Senses. Mallory spoke of the correlation between influencers and brands leaving us very informed and motivated.

Shatory and Shauntele of Bundles Luxury were a delight to have on our panel of speakers! They discussed launching a brand/product as well as collaborating with one. It hit home when speaking about the importance of the etiquette that needs to take place when reaching out or responding to particular companies for collaboration!

Leslie from Backstage Life is my go-to make up artist and fabulous at what she does! I refer all of my clients to her and she doesn’t disappoint. Leslie spoke about what a different professional make up does for a photo shoot and why you need it!

Taryn and Rick Newton are such a dynamic team and so relatable! They are just the most down to earth people and what you see on social media and online is what you get! They both are so real when it comes to this business, and discussed staying true to yourself and your brand. Taryn discussed how she’s made this a full time job, and learning to know who your true audience is along with staying true to yourself.

Michelle Rice spoke of how simple items can help you find the best light to curate higher quality imagery, whether you use your professional camera or use cell phone. The best light helps create the best end result and decreases the amount of editing you have to do that results in a quick turn around.

The Creatives panel was fun as we shared some of the tools we use to get the best light! We have even linked them for you below!!

Weston connected with the audience during the creatives panel as he discussed the importance of videography and social media. That make sure you are representing yourself on how you want to be known for in the social and online space. Creating a marketing strategy that is simple but can engage with your ideal client and audience.

Putting What They Learned to Work

Our creative group of speakers talked about the importance of lighting, angles, and consistency when creating imagery for their brand. The behind the scenes work is just as important as the things you see on social medias and websites. Whether you are using a camera or iPhone, you can create quality pictures!

A Big Heartfelt Thank You

My darling husband! He is the idle hand, he is the final push for me to meet the top of the mountain of my dreams, and handles so much of the behind the scenes of the Audrie Dollins/ Ad Media Group Brand. A heartfelt thank you will never be enough and I am thankful I get to spend my life showing my gratitude to him.

Keep your circle small and share it with those who aren’t afraid to call you out and be real with you. My darling best friends you are always there for me in every day life and I cannot thank God enough for your beautiful hearts!
Hire people that are as passionate about your business as you are. God Blessed me with Dannielle & Samantha. They care for me as much as they care for the success of my company and clients.
